Let’s start with a mini-story.

It took more than 20 years for Toyota and Lexus’ luxury division to proudly call themselves a true alternative to the dominant Germans in the luxury class.

This did not stop Nissan’s Japanese competitor from producing their own luxury line – Infiniti – a sub-brand mainly intended for the American market, but now expanding its influence worldwide.

Where Lexus went unnoticed, Infiniti tries to carve out a niche and pave the way for success. And thanks to the merger with Mercedes-Benz, the first product arrived in Australia – the Q50 sedan – a direct competitor to the C-class, equipped with the same engine.

In terms of road handling, overall, it handles easily and confidently at city speeds, but is also slightly sensitive to small changes, which in turn makes the car feel a bit reckless due to road imperfections.

You get used to it over time, but it’s a bit disconcerting at first.

After familiarizing ourselves with the car, we want to share the results of Infiniti Q50 2.0T chip tuning.

Stock specifications: 192Hp and 349Nm (dyno stand).

This car was remapped with the Stage 1 package.

In reality, we got 221Hp and 422Nm (+29Hp, +73Nm).
