Stage2 BMW M4 Coupe F82.
The BMW M4 F82 has already been flashed at the Stage1 level by a third-party company, but the owner wanted to experience a new wave of emotions from the car.
There are also some changes under the hood of the new M4. BMW has once again started to use an inline engine, similar to the one used in previous versions of the M3, but the atmospheric V8 has been replaced by a 3.0 liter twin-turbo inline six. The S55 engine is significantly different from the previous N55, it was specially developed for the new M4. For the first time in the M4 series, a turbocharger was installed, which allows for power delivery without lag and dips. In stock form, the S55B30 produces 431 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque.
The owner specifically came to get a BMW M4 F82 chip tuning at the Stage2 level, and the decision was made to remove the factory catalytic converter and make a custom downpipe. The factory intercooler is also replaced with a more efficient and performance oriented tuning version.
When measured on a third-party tune, the car showed: 487 horsepower and 605 Nm of torque. In order to properly tune the car, it is necessary to return it to its factory settings and only then tune it for Stage2 based on the original.
Next comes the mechanical work. We remove the factory catalytic converter and make the downpipe, and also replace the intercooler. Once the mechanical work is completed, it’s time to fine tune everything! We send the original to our partners, they make a test version and record the car’s logs on a dyno. We observe how the car behaves and the tuner makes adjustments. After that, we can load the final version and enjoy the full potential of the car!
Stage2 showed: 550 horsepower and 734 Nm of torque. This is an increase of +63 horsepower and +129 Nm. The client’s desires were fulfilled and the increase was felt immediately. The owner was very satisfied with the results!
