Hello everyone. Just recently, our company tuned a BMW X6 M50D in the E71 body at a Stage2 level of modifications and I would like to tell you about it. The X6 is a medium-sized crossover that combines different riding qualities, whether it’s off-road or smooth roads.

This car is equipped with a three-liter diesel engine with three turbochargers, which outputs 381 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque. It seems like this should be enough, but definitely not for our clients! The owner came to us to do Stage2, which includes making a downpipe and proper software tuning to ensure everything works correctly.

Then, with the help of computer diagnostics, the car is diagnosed and when we are convinced that the car is in good condition, we can move on to measuring it on the dynamometer. The first measurement on the stock showed us: 374 horsepower and 732 Nm, slightly below the passport data, which is possible because we have diesel fuel of not the best quality.

Then we read the original software from the car and send it to our partners for individual tuning. After some time, when we receive a response with the ready firmware file, we write it back to the car!

It’s time to make a new measurement on the dynamometer, but this time on the tuned version. The results were as follows: 442 horsepower and 894 Nm. This means that BMW X6 M50D chip tuning added +68 horsepower and +162 Nm. The owner was very surprised by the result and satisfied with our work!
