Chip tuning BMW XM G09 with powerbox: compromise or forced decision?

BMW XM G09 is a powerful hybrid SUV with a 4.4-liter V8 and an electric motor that together produce up to 653 hp in the standard version. However, like many modern BMW models, its engine control unit (ECU) is reliably protected from unauthorized interference. Therefore, traditional chip tuning through ECU reprogramming is currently impossible, and the only way to increase power is to install a powerbox.

After all the work was done, measurements were taken on a dynamometer and the following indicators were obtained: 788hp and 968Nm. Chip tuning BMW XM G09 added +131hp and +110Nm of torque.
