Luxurious, chic, dynamic Mercedes visited us for tuning.
We performed chip tuning for Mercedes S500 Coupe with engine M278, 4.7, twin-turbo with BOSCH MED17.7.3 control unit.
The work was agreed upon for Stage 1, based on price/performance ratio, one of the best options.
On the stock, on the stand, the car showed 425hp and 712nm, inspection of the car by a mechanic and computer diagnostics did not reveal any problems or contraindications.
The firmware for these units is read and written without removing the block, which completely eliminates the theoretical possibility of mechanical damage.
After optimizing the software, the firmware was written to the control unit, and the car was installed and secured on the dyno stand. Log check showed that the engine is working without any problems, which allowed us to make the first measurement on the tuning firmware.
As a result, we got 478hp and 839nm. (+53hp and +127nm). Excellent result for Stage 1!
