Stage1 Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 TSI.

Hello everyone. I want to share with you the work done on such a car as the Skoda Kodiaq. I would like to tell you a little about the car, it is a mid-size crossover, produced since 2016 by the Czech company Škoda Auto. The car is based on the Volkswagen Group MQB modular platform. It shares this platform with the 2nd generation Volkswagen Tiguan, but the Czech crossover has a longer 7-seat version. The car is named after the Alaskan brown bear – the Kodiak.

The engine in this configuration is a 2.0-liter gasoline TSI – the factory specifications of the car provide 180 hp and 320 Nm. The owner decided to do chip tuning for the Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 TSI to increase power, because having some extra power under the gas pedal is always a welcome addition!

When we took the car into work, the first thing we did was a full computer diagnostic to ensure the car’s reliability. A positive result of the test allows us to move on to the next step, namely the dynamometer.

With the dynamometer, we can see the difference in horsepower and torque before and after all the modifications. So, we secure the car and do a measurement of the stock car. The result is as follows: 181 hp and 312 Nm. Once we got the stock results, our specialists started reading the stock firmware and sending it to our partners for further adjustments. The firmware is individually tuned for each car.

After some time, we receive an email with the tuned version, which can then be programmed back into the car and a new power measurement can be done. On the tuned firmware, the car showed: 247 hp and 399 Nm. This means a power increase of +66 hp and +87 Nm. The result was very significant and noticeable. The owner was very satisfied and grateful to our company for the work done.
