Volkswagen Touareg of the third generation with a 3.0 TDI engine, just such a beauty we had recently at the program level of Stage1 refinements. The car is built on the MLB Evo platform. The new body is 106 kg lighter than the previous one, it is 52% made of high-strength steels and 48% aluminum alloys. The stock three-liter diesel engine produces 286hp and 600Nm. This engine has a good reserve for safe tuning. The owner decided to do Stage1 to drive so far, and then perhaps move to the second level of improvements.

Before we measure the power, we need to make sure that the car is in good condition and only then we can carry out all the procedures. Thanks to computer diagnostics we can be sure that there are no errors and we can start the first measurement of the stock firmware.

We fix the car on the dinostand and take measurements. Stock car showed: 292hp and 604Nm. Very good result, we can clearly see that the car is new and shows even more than it is declared from the factory. After receiving the first figures, we read out the original firmware from the engine control unit and send it to our partners for reconfiguration and modification.

After some time we receive a reply letter with the ready version of the firmware, which is written back into the car and ready for a new measurement. The tuning version showed the following results: 353hp. and 745Nm, which means that the car has added +61hp. and +141Nm of power. The owner was very satisfied with the result! According to the customer, the car drove completely different!
