Stage1 BMW 316d F30

BMWs are leaders in signing up for chip tuning services among the big three (Audi, BMW, Mercedes). The reasons for this are still unclear to us, perhaps it’s the more “hot” owners?)

This time, a BMW 316d F30 came to chip tuning, which comes from the factory with the same N47D20 engine as the BMW 320d, it was simply “squeezed” to 116hp programmatically, whereas the 320d produces 184hp in stock. In short, the result of chip tuning for the BMW 316d will be on par with the 320d.

The car was set up on the stand and the original indicators were measured, we got 115hp and 243nm, which almost matches the factory parameters.

Then the process of reading the firmware, setting up and debugging began.

After the work was completed, the result was better than expected, 191hp and 408nm, a +76hp and +165nm! And this is just the software work, without removing emissions and other improvements!
