Good day everyone. Today our company UPstage had another cool car visit us, the BMW 7 Series of the new sixth generation G11. The car was built entirely on the new “35up” platform, which was later renamed to “CLAR”. The peculiarity of this platform is that in addition to aluminum and steel, carbon fiber was also used for rigidity and strength.

The power unit of this model is the B57D30 diesel engine with dual turbocharging, which delivers 265hp and 620Nm. The client came to us with a clear goal – to make his car faster and more agile. The task for us was clear and we immediately got to work.

Computer diagnostics helped us ensure that the car is in good condition and without any hidden issues. With confidence that the car is in good shape, we proceed to measure it on the dynamometer. The first test result showed these numbers: 246hp and 631Nm.

Next, we read the original firmware from the engine control unit. For this procedure, we use equipment that allows us to read the firmware through the OBD port without removing the unit itself. The file that we extracted is then sent to our partners, who will then modify it.

After some time, our partners send us back the tuned version for recording into the car. The time has come to make the final measurement to get the result of chip tuning for BMW 730D G11.

The tuned version showed: 297hp. 744Nm, which means we gained an increase of +51hp. and +113Nm. After testing the car after the modifications, the owner was pleasantly surprised. The car drove completely differently compared to the original!
