The brand new 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS has arrived at UPstage to receive Stage1 chip tuning upgrades. The engine for this model is a diesel turbocharged inline-six (OM 656 D 29 I6), similar to the one found in its older brother, the GLS 400D, but with different power outputs. The first version has 286 horsepower, while the older version has 330 horsepower. This means that the engine has limitations on power.

The owner decided to do chip tuning on their Mercedes-Benz GLS 350 D to bring out all the horsepower! We should expect a significant increase in performance!

As always, we start our work according to a well-defined plan. We perform a computer diagnosis to ensure everything is in order and carry out a stock power measurement on the dyno.

The stock numbers were: 297 horsepower and 614 Nm.

After this, our specialists extract the original software and send it to our engineers for calibration and more detailed tuning.

After a period of time, we receive the finalized software and load it back into the car.

Upon completion of all the work, the tuned version showed: 390 horsepower and 837 Nm. The result was very impressive! The increase in power was significant at +93 horsepower and +223 Nm.
